The Soviet Union during WW2 lost over 20000000 people. But even with that many they were prepared to keep fighting until victory was achieved. Now compare this to the Americans who lost around 400000 and were growing weary of casualties. Even upto the present day, Americans are less willing to take or accept casualties than other cultures or nations (not that that's a bad thing). What cultural changes would it take to make the American people be more accepting of military casualties, on the level of the Soviet Union?
