What would have happened if in TL-191, the USA won the War of Secession, but under different circumstances than OTL?

What would have happened if, in TL-191, the USA won the War of Secession, but under different circumstances (with those circumstances being that Britain and France help the CSA, and Robert E. Lee doesn't defect to the CSA for some reason)? Would they still be extremely hostile to Britain and France?

More than likely considering they just supported a rebellion against the US and, I assume, attacked the country themselves. Although this begs the question of how the CSA could have gotten such support if they didn’t have the man who arguably had the best chance to convince those two through battle victories. Even with Lee I’m not sure how the US could win against France and Britain.
