What would German answer to IS-7 look like?

Not entering service until 1948, the Soviet IS-7 tank was nevertheless designed to face anything on the WW2 battlefield, including the 128mm gun on the Jadgtiger.

What would the German equivalent be? Choices would be more massive Maus type semi-mobile pillboxes, or something that offered mobility, protection and firepower in a more balanced form like the IS-7.

I often wonder why the German tanks kept getting taller, while the Soviet ones become wider and focused on lower height.

IS-3Ms were terrible on the crew.

On paper, look awesome.

In combat, they were beat by upgraded Shermans and Centurions.

Same problems remain with the newer models.
The gun stabilizer never worked as well as was hoped. only the vertical stabilization wasn't good enough for fire on the move.

Probably a Tiger III. But then the IS-7 never entered production.
