What would an alternate name for Maine if absorbed into the Canadian Confederation?

If somehow the British and Loyalist forces were able to conquered a land that was supposed to be what we know now as Maine during the War of 1812 and later absorbed into the Canadian Confederation, what do you think it would've been called?

While during the original Penobscot Expedition the region was named 'New Ireland' I think that had it been conquered in 1812, it would instead have become an extension of New Brunswick. Far easier to amalgamate that way.

Would it even be in one piece?

Regardless, I'd think that none of the above choices could work (except for merging New Brunswick and Maine together into a New Ireland - the trouble being in a Maine context New Ireland actually referred to a specific place). Either the entire place gets called Sagadahoc (after the failed Popham Colony) or southern Maine gets called that and northern Maine gets called Madawaska. In that case, Madawaska would probably consist not only of northern Maine but also parts of what IOTL are northern and eastern New Brunswick and adjacent areas of Québec (particularly the Témiscouata RCM).

I'm sorry can you be more specific, I can get you explaining about the merging New Brunswick and Maine together into a New Ireland, but all the rest wasn't really that clear to read through.

Britain's Maritimes colony could have resulted in any outcome, but I think it would have been administered as a separate colony because other than ship, there was virtually no infrastructure connecting it to New Brunswick proper. But it's almost a coin toss if we look at the colonial Maritimes. Cape Breton was removed and reattached to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick was split off.
