What would a socialist France look like and what would it's relations to others be like?

@fasquardon Hehehe...so better have a state where everything is organised.

In any case:
First, I'll admit I am not firm in french interior politics, but in anycase I present the following:
In the aftermath of WWI, the french republic turns red (i.e. pre-leninist thought) and the bavarians succeed in their Räterepublik. So you basically get two reds with industrial bases and a rather different approach from the soviet union.

Whats the most probable war in this case: red-british/american war or west vs. east?

Would France and Germany start their own separate block away from the USSR, or would they all become allies? Also how would society work in the Western reds, would they be totalitarian, or something else. One of the most common things I here is that Karl Marx intended for socialism to take root in industrialized countries like France and Germany, not places like Russia and China, which were for the most part still feudal.
That's kinda what I did in the EDC; after a short Great War Germany and France underwent a rapprochement under Social Democrat governments (slowly, it took years) and didn't end up at war with each other. Instead Russia (after falling apart at the end of the war) went fascist/nationalist/religious when the Big Slump and Okie 'flu hit and ending up fighting pretty much everyone else. Apart from the UK (somewhat fascist and having a little "civil disobedience" problem after killing a king) and the US (splintered into a mess).
