What was Sanjay Gandhi's stand on foreign policy?

What was his stand on foreign policy? Was he pro-West, or pro-East, like her mother?

The time he wielded power was during emergency and in that period he had no time to spare for external affairs. He had not shown any particular inclination for any side in the Cold War. But his actions at home showed no preference towards socialism, and he was a capitalist at heart. It should also remembered that he always hated and despised Jawaharlal Nehru, his grandfather whom he held responsible for the separation of his mother from his father, whom Sanjay worshiped. At the same time it was likely that he would prefer to maintain friendly relations with the USSR which staunchly supported his mother.

As Kishan pointed out, he used to pronounce economically liberal views earlier on, but I'm not sure about his foreign policy views. Otherwise this is pretty much unchartered territory, as Sanjay was mostly busy with his pet projects (i.e. the sterilisation program and slum clearance) during Emergency. One cannot be sure how his influence would have defined Indira's second administration, but during the 1980 elections he was one of those Congress politicians who made sure that the right (loyal) candidates appear in the respective constituencies. Congress would probably have been dominated by his crony system, if he'd lived longer. I don't know if he had fully defined positions on foreign policy.
