What purgatory would come from that aha. You'd also probably need to make most people to actually care for the republic.

Well, I know that the Commonwealth was highly unpopular with the populace - but at least the army was mostly on Cromwell's side, and it would be very see how the republican system would evolve after Oliver's death.

Apart from the big man himself, George Monck, who literally made the restoration happen through sheer force of will.

So the results are in:

In first place the black prince

Second place the surviving house of Bruce

And third : Charles I winning the civil war.

Alright for the black prince who should he marry and when?

i don't really think it could be pausible, his father always choose french side during conflit with England, he always search a french familly or in limit a Castilian one to marry his daughter but never search in english side.

Hmm then perhaps as part of the peace after crecy a marriage to a bourbon?

It could be possible i don't know enough about this dynasty in this time but Pierre duke of bourgon get many daughter so it could happen. In 1346, he fought at Crécy and was wounded there. Maybe he was captured and released in exchange of a marriage many noble were captured/killed/wounded here you could easily choose the dynasty you want among them

This is true. Alternatively one could have Thomas Holland Joan of Kents first husband die in 1346 and therefore have her free to marry again.
