What if Yugoslavia won the Yugoslav Wars?

Note that I am not a rabid Serbian nationalist, I just want to hear your opinions on what would happen. Also, don't turn this into a Serbia vs Croatia flamewar.

Now personally I don't think Yugoslavia was winning this one, and I'm not even an anti-Serb person. But I digress...

A Yugoslav victory would depend on where they win. It's already a tall order with regards to Slovenia (their heart wasn't in it, and the Milosevic regime wasn't interested in keeping Slovenia, as there were no major Serb minority in the area compared to Croatia & Bosnia-Herzegovina. It was a matter of whether Serbia could beat Croatia and Bosnia (as well as Kosovo), as well as fighting back NATOs bombing campaigns. But should they succeed (more so before NATO got involved in a more active role.) I'm half expecting a Yugoslav-state that, at the very least while much smaller than before the wars began, would still be mostly together, under Serbian domination.

You took the words right out of my mouth. The Yugoslav army was basically a Serb faction at the start of the war. In reality they were not fighting for Yugoslavia but a post Yugoslavian Serbia that would incorporate territories with a Serb majority or large minority and areas that would be strategically valuable to keep. They had no interest in Slovenia. Many would argue that the conflict in Slovenia was a phony war.

As a witness to the events in Yugoslavia at that time (from a Croatian perspective) I could tell you that they were very close to achieving victory. To this day I still can’t understand how they were unable to defeat the Croats, given that the Territorial Defence in Croatia was stripped from weapons before the conflict, and the Yugoslav army having basically all the heavy weapons at the beginning of the conflict (at least before the Croats were able to get some of the Yugoslav barrack to surrender). My opinion is that their military commanders were just plain incompetent. If they had more capable generals they could have won easily.

Actually, it's precisely the incompetence of their military commanders is to why Yugoslavia couldn't beat Croatia. Its poor military performance (alongside its equally piss-poor performance in Slovenia, who was actually in a slightly worse position than Croatia was) was what clued me in as to why I personally think Yugoslavia was not winning.
