What if Viktor Tsoi never died in 1990?

How would Russia's rock music change???
How would Tsoi react to the collapse of the USSR?
What would change in the 90's????
Would Tsoi's career continue to skyrocket? or would it peak by the early 1990's???
What would happen to KINO?

I imagine Tsoi and Kino would continue making albums through the 90s, but slow down in the 2000s. Few artists manage to consistently make good art past their 30s, even ones as talented as Tsoi. And aesthetically he fits much more into 80s/90s Russia than 2000s Russia, wouldn't you say? I could see him appearing in more films, especially as he moves from "youthful rockstar" to "aging cultural icon". Overall he'd probably be even more of a legend in the Russophone world and Korea, and maybe more Westerners will have heard about him as well. Though it's always going to be difficult for non-English language artists to get popular globally.

Do you think when the USSR collapsed, Tsoi would be able to gain large popularity in Europe as a whole?
