If the Vikings stayed in America and America was known about by Europe hundreds of years before Columbus. Would there be a sort of Scramble for America? Would there be meeting by European nations like the Berlin conference to divide America between the European nations? Who would win and who would lose out? If the geography was not known about, such as the Mississippi river or Appalachian Mountains, then some nations may unwittingly get good or terrible land. How this affect European colonisation of America? How would America be today? What you think?

There definitely would not, since the Berlin Conference was a product of the late 19th century, and European nations (if you could call the medieval kingdoms that) would neither care what was going on in the New World nor agree to share it with their rivals like that. The natives of the New World would also be in a far better position to just laugh at the European claims to their land than New World natives were in the 16-19th century or African natives were in the 19th century, given the only advantage Europeans have is extensive metalworking and domesticated animals. Unfortunately for the Europeans, sailing technology is too primitive to build the supply networks needed to supply large colonies or networks of trading posts and their economies aren't able to support a focus on the Americas like that. So their trading posts are playing by the rules of the locals and they will be unable to conquer the land the way they did in the 16th-19th centuries or what they did in Africa. They will be thought of by most American Indians as just another competing tribe, to be allied with or destroyed depending on conditions, although they do have very nice trade goods.

America was sort of known to europe before Columbus, there had been rumors of a land to the west due to the viking expeditions.

There WAS a “scramble for america” in OTL, with various european powers trying to extend their influence upon the continent, it merely occured more slowly and indirectly than Africa’s due to technological and societal differences.

There WAS a “berlin conference”, the treaty of tordesillas, and while an ATL division could include more powers, the church is still likely to get involved. And it is still unlikely to be as abrangent as the Berlin Conference due to societal and technological differences between the periods.

Your WI seems to be based on the vikings staying on america and butterflies developong from that, but a lot of your later ‘would?’ are thing that kind of did happen OTL, and are unlikely to happen in a more similar way to Africa because europe is far too different between the 15th and 19th century.

In regards to your last few questions, well, honestly, almost anything is plausible depending on how colonization changes, so the ‘how the americas would change’ is entirely dependent on the author.

Why are people so obsessed with Vikings in America? Something remotely similar to a "Scramble for America" would have to happen when effectively colonizing the Americas became possible and desirable(16th century), given this ATL's participants of such an agreement had a good idea of the extension and shape of the land they are trying to partition. Other than that you'll just have meridians and parallels dividing lands no one has ever been to, similar to Tordesilhas.

Also, I doubt that many nations at that time could actually take part in the conference. More like France, Portugal, England and Castille at most. Everything would be likely mediated by the Pope too.

Quite - the Americas were colonised by British, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese (minor mentions to Denmark and Sweden)

Africa was colonised by British French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Germany and Belgium (Italy was a very very late comer)

Why? With Italian wars, would France take Pope seriously as mediator rather than Spain's catspaw?

The Scramble for America OTL resulted in Spaniards taking over Aztec and Inca Empires basically in the 20 year period 1519 to 1537. There were some French expeditions to Americas like Verrazzano, Juan Florin and Cartier, but no serious force projection.
So WI French seriously get into the scramble, and Spaniards are defeated in Mexico by French and their Indian allies?
