What if the White Ship didn't sink

The White Ship sank in 1120 with only two survivors. Henry 1st only legitmate son was lost with the ship resulting in a civil war on Henry's death between his daughter Matilda and Stephen and eventually the rise of the Plantagenets with numerous civil wars and a major civil war in the War of the Roses.

Suppose that the crew of the White Ship had remained sober, not tried to overtake the King's ship or William Adelin had survived possibly by not going back to attempt to rescue his sister or his boat hadn avoided being swamped. Would the governments of England been more stable and avoided civil warts or would other ones have broken out?

English Medieval civil wars related in the main to weak monarchs and disputed successions and the two most vicious, centred around Stephen and Henry VI had both. By saving Henry I's son you may avoid the first, but it is unlikely that the above problems will not occur with others, most european late medieval and early modern states had similar problems and conflicts.

Henry II may not have became King. His wives French lands was the base of English claim to the French Crown. Maybe changes the 100 years war> No Richard the Lion heart.

This is only a possibility. There were many risks for a young man or woman to die in the medieval ages.

William Adeline still could have died before his father Henry I and not have male children.

If he had no children at all, then almost no change. The Plantagenet get the throne.

But what if he has ... a daughter ? This changes much too.
