What if the Weimar Republic succeeded

what if somehow the Weimar Republic managed to get out of the depression and have a strong economy? Would hitler still come to power? Whould ww2 still happen?

Most national economies were recovering by the mid-30's regardless of their policies, so Germany could certainly do the same with or without Hitler. That said, they were rearming before the Nazis and would continue to do so, so I think Danzig, at least, would become a sticking point somewhere down the line. It could be that they manage to buy Czech and Western acquiescence to redressing the issue and just take back the Corridor, at which point things cool down for a while, but it depends on which party or parties get to govern, of course. General war seems unlikely unless Britain/France fight to defend Poland.

Hitler and the Nazis is almost ASB!

The fact that this little dopesville party came to power?? Everything needed to align just "right."

So, if the Weimar Republic succeeds, Hitler merely remains an answer to a trivial question for those really into the topic of minor German parties during the Depression.

Now, that Gregor Strasser guy had much better ideas for appealing to people during crises like the Depression. In order for the Nazis to amount to anything, you'd need to get him to the forefront of the Party and get his message out there as an alternative to the SPD.

Politics crashed alongside economics in Germany. You can see this in the sequence of chancellors which went from democratic to a general, before going with a fascist. There was fighting in the streets, and a clear clash of extremes, fascists on one side and communists on the other. Most people believed it was coming down to a choice between which extreme would win, which is why the establishment went with Hitler, because he seemed better than the KPD.

IMHO the only way out of this is for the establishment to recognise this trend before it gets to this pass. That would mean abandoning the democratic parties and going with Hugenberg's nationalists, and a restoration of the monarchy. If they can manoevre Hugenberg into a leading position, the Nazis won't be the challenging force they were by 1932/3. What you would see though is a narrative about abandonment of democracy and maybe even a sort of alignment between the SA and the KDP in terms of rhetorical attacks on the establishment. The new government may well have to fight a real civil war against the Communists to cement its power.

What about having Wilhelm Marx win the German Presidency in 1925 instead (with him winning re-election in 1932) and picking better Chancellors than Hindenburg did, though?

Frankly, the smart thing to do for a Weimar Germany which wants to reacquire the Polish Corridor would be to wait until France is busy dealing with a large-scale rebellion in one or more of its colonies and only then act; else, I certainly don't see why exactly France wouldn't protect its ally Poland.

Have Blomberg avoid redrafting the Reichswehreid, and the Heer oppose Nazi power grabs more effectively.

But just maybe, the mere fact that Hitler was 'crazier' made him more appealing . . .

[how early were the anti-Jewish and anti-Slavic fervor of the Nazis known?]

It seems like it would be really easy and straightforward for any government broadly in the middle to disabuse the public of this notion.

Mass arrests in response to street fighting. If you have the goods for a specific criminal offense, like where someone is killed, persecute for murder two or manslaughter.

If you just have young men for 'rioting,' hold them for two weeks, decent conditions so they won't be celebrities.

Use the army if necessary. In a battle over physical force, the government usually wins.

This is the point. You don’t need the Republic to descend into dictatorship for it to survive. There are numerous POD’s that could plausibly result in its survival as a democracy and this is a major one. Hindenburg won in 1925 because the KPD refused to follow the rest of the liberal/left and endorse Marx even when they knew it’d result in Hindenburgs victory. If just a section of KPD voters had defected then Marx would have won. Given the 7 year term, massive powers of the presidency, and anti-democratic actions of Hindenburg OTL this would probably result in Weimars survival.

What makes you think that a France without World War 2 will have a large scale rebellion in any colony?
