What If the United States Joined the League of Nations?

Probably not enough to stop we2 but I suppose you could spin a version where it does. Stop it at least lessen the economic disaster around the world and maybe.....

Probably it bit depends when it does happen. You might need some different president so it could happen. USA should firstly abandon its isolationism. Or then you could do some things which avoid WW2 and LoN survives. Then USA eventually joins to LoN.

They leave when the next president in inaugurated

No. If Wilson (or more likely Marshall in the event of Wilson's death) had agreed to the Lodge reservations, and the Senate ratified with a two-thirds majority, the US would remain in the League; after all, such a majority would indicate strong Republican support, apart from the so-called Irreconcilables. But I doubt it would make much difference.

As David T has said in other threads, the USA would have joined the League of Nations if it wasn't for Article X, that made ratification by the Senate impossible.
The idea of some sorte of league was very popular.
