What if the Safavids won the Battle of Chaldiran?

Despite the advanced weaponry of the Ottoman forces, what if the Safavids somehow outflanked the Turks, and secured a decisive victory? Would they make incursions into Anatolia? Could it delay the Ottoman-Mamluk war of 1516-1517?

I'm not very knowledgeable on the region in this time period, but the Safavids could have possibly went onto conquer the Mamluks and establish an empire stretching from Cairo to Samarkand. If I'm correct, the army of Ismail I believed he was the Mahdi until the horrific defeat at Chaldiran. As soon as he dies, I can see his successor becoming Sunni at the expense of the Qizilbash.
