So, the Orlov Revolt was had better support from the Russians during the Russo-Turkish war and managed to establish a Greek state 50 years earlier than OTL? What effects would this have long term?

There may be a lesser emphasis on harking back to classical Greece and more on reviving the Byzantine Empire, especially with Russian support backing their efforts and likely a Russian sitting on the Greek throne. That means making the effort to capture Constantinople from the Turks.

A small Greek state in the Peloponnese owing its independence to Russia? Interesting! It would seem that Russia would have to send more forces initially, given the difficulty of supplying/reinforcing so long as the Straits remain Ottoman. Then hope for a quick peace.

If the kingdom is founded, then it would likely be heavily influenced by Russia, maybe with lesser Russian royalty marrying into/creating the royal family?

It have been more successful if they had just concentrated on Crete where the Russian Naval Squadron could provide useful support, whereas in OTL the focus was on Morea where the Russians couldn't do anything about the Ottoman Army. I wonder what the impact of having an independent Crete while the rest of Greece is still under the Ottoman yoke.

That would be interesting.
