What if the meteor that hit Tunguska hit London instead?

What if the meteor that hit Tunguska in Russia had landed a few hours later and hit London instead? What would have been the effect on the British Empire if it's capital had been vaporized? The effects on Europe and the world in general?

OK, there was a thread on this not too many months ago. I usually don't do this, as it's not fair to posters but to be honest alll the info in that old thread is what you need, details of where people were, of the blast impact zone, etc

Massive amounts of death and destruction in London, the British Empire is weakened as it not only lost most of its capital, but many members of the government and royal family are now dead. It would probably move it's capital to Birmingham or Liverpool.

The French, German, or other empires most likely take advantage of this in the future.
