What if the Manhatten project was sucessful earlier

Ive read that we made a few mistakes that made the project last longer. I assume that the war would end earlier then it did, perhaps before the russians take over eastern europe. thoughts?

I don't remember reading this here. I do remember a thread on this subject on DW. tThat author set the date in 1944. I think after both Japan and Germany are bombed ( the DW author thought the cities would be Dresden and Hiroshima.) they surrender. I think Hitler may have to be overthrown. uUnless this happens very early on the Soviets still take Eastern Europe. If it happens before Yalta, Soviet troops do not enter China and the US occupies all of Korea.
