What if The French Monarch manages to acquire the crown of HRE

First this is not very orthodox, but my arguments are as follows: In an old thread that was titled:Mary of Burgundy Goes French by Duquesne in which a giant Necro was performed...

I had, because of that fact, the opportunity to read it and see that in my opinion, that many inaccuracies were raised... but being an very old thread could not, or indeed ought to rebut and / or clarify the various inaccuracies there and in my opinion misinterpretations of the consequences of these pod or an similar, in the mentioned thread...

http://(https://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showpost.php?p=731044&postcount=1

So I decided to create a new one more extense with my version of how would evolve the events with that Pod:

Duquesne said:
so what if Louis XI HAD succeeded, and in 1477, at the age of 17, the Dauphin Charles VIII Marries the 19 year old Mary, And a year Later Louis XII is born, Heir to Both France & the Low Countries

But expanding the Pod: What if The French Monarch manages to acquire the crown of HRE... either thanks to achieve acquire the heritage of Burgundy or other means first achieved success in their attempt to be crowned Emperor of the HRE and ask whether agree or not in the consequences and arguments that I detail in my considerations, reflections and statements.

First I can not agree with the implausible suggestion that Colombus, even could have a possibility from being supported and financed in his projects for the Crown of France, which in this hypothetical TTL, would have had even more reinforced than in OTL, their disinterest in adventures in the Ocean and try to compete with the Portuguese, competence that could not give to a continental power, nothing to gain.

Besides that despite the 'mythology' , built around Columbus and his brother attempts in the various European courts...

The Columbus brothers were seen as little more than one more of many adventurers who requested audience for support, to expose its various more or less realistic projects ... from the perspective of his contemporaries, of course.

The only hope of concretion, of obtaining the Royal support for his project was in Castile, where he had the economic and political support of Medina-Sidonia and certain influential religious.
Besides that there was a real strategic interest of Castile in finding an alternate route through the Atlantic, to the East Indies, to*route used and monopolized by the Portuguese.

Not to mention that I do not get to see how the situation who inherited Burgundy could have affected the civil war in Castile where it was resolved if Juana 'La Beltraneja' who was supported by Portugal or serious Isabel, married to Fernando, would inherit the throne Castilian... determining how the union of kingdoms that would form the future Kingdom of Spain would settle.

Of course an alternate union of Castile with Portugal imply an Atlantic policy
and an African expansion and disinterest in European affairs and mainly Mediterraneans, beyond the coast of Morocco and more than likely alliance with England...

So it is doubtful that a Kingdom of Aragon without the support of human and material resources of Castile... follow the same policies of OTL.
It's more logical, for so events happen in TTL, to prevent isolation, its political approach and / or dynastic with the Kingdom / Empire of France.

Respect to how it could have evolved the conflict between Aragon and France ...if there was a war between them, because that happened in OTL wasn't inevitable, nor desired by Aragon... but there isn't likely that an hypothetic increase in the wealth and power of the French monarchs can determine for themselves a change in the outcome of the war in Italy OTL ... if it happens and if it continues Aragon and Castile sharing their dynasty ,TTL.

The changes in the Kingdom of France with its new territorial acquisitions, perhaps do affect and would force France to reconsider its interests in Italy and accept an agreement with Aragon de jure or de facto... probably giving priority to obtain and then make hereditary the Imperial crown of the HRE.

But in this scenario with either Spain formed by Portugal and Castile
or as in OTL, with Aragon...In this scenario it is certain that the Kingdom of Spain would be governed, for an Alternative dynasty, to which I ruled the kingdom in OTL.

This situation align its strategic interests against the threat posed, TTL, for the dynastic union of France and the HRE, and perhaps would make natural allies with England.

It would be interesting to think like the Papacy react to this renewed France and whose monarch might be able to also hold the crown of HRE, with its historical connections in Italy turning it into an extreme threat to the independence of action and sovereignty of the Papacy.

Also this would also be a disturbing and unpleasant possibilities for princes Optimates stage and the Germans both lay and ecclesiastic, so jealous its prerogatives and acquired rights, that despite the size of the bribe to pay for the King of France... not realize the dangers involved for them that has... a Emperor with the resources from the French Kingdom and Burgundy.

Sure, if TTL scenario, would happen, the butterflies would be enormous and the least of which would not be the most likely strengthening of Imperial power, much more than in OTL and is more than likely that butterflies affect the birth of Reform... if first these butterflies do not affect the life and / or religious vocation of Luther.

I think you're underestimating proto-Nationalism. The pro-French Luxembourg dynasty was being pro-French without giving France the key to the Empire. Mary wanted a husband, who could defend her lands and father a heir, the French candidate Charles, son of a mortal enemy of Charles the Bold and thus son of 'the final nail into Charles' coffin'.

The Serious french candidates for the hand of Mary of Burgundy is the Duke of Berry and the Duke of Orleans, have Mary of Burgundy marry the Duke of Orleans or have Duke of Berry survive, her son with the Duke of Orleans or Berry will be the one that marries Anne of Brittany after the death of her first husband.
