POD: Battle of Antietam, 1862, Lee’s men do not lose their battle plans and accidentally give them to the union. CSA takes a crushing victory at the Battle of Antietam, leading to Lincoln not delivering the Emancipation Proclamation. This eventually leads to Britain giving large support to the CSA, as they now see the Confederates as having a legitimate chance of winning the war, and the war was not really viewed as being about slavery until Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. After major British support, the CSA eventually wins the war. All of the Southern States are now independent from the Union. The US does not purchase Alaska from Russia and does not start the Spanish-American War or undertake imperialism, as they are too entrenched in their hatred of the CSA. Free from the constraints of the North, the CSA expands into the Caribbean and Central America. The Union, without the traditional southern states, pass women’s suffrage much earlier, likely 1890s. The Union has an absolute hatred for Britain and all of it’s allies, as the British supported the CSA. The North still industrializes and expands westward. The South keeps slavery up until the late 1890s/very early 1900s due to pressure by Britain and other powers to stop slavery. The US later becomes allies with the newly unified imperial Germany, as Germany is rivals with Britain. The CSA allies Britain. Come 1914, the Great War begins. The US far outmatches the CSA in terms of war ability, as the US is far more industrialized. The US of course joins the Central Powers, likely by November of 1914 or maybe even October, right after the Ottoman Empire joins the war. Trench warfare occurs in North America between the Union and CSA. The US also invades Canada and has to fight a sort of two-front war, similar to Germany. The war drags on and is more bloody than in OTL due to the American front. However, the Central Powers would win, likely in 1917/early 1918. Russia would capitulate earlier and enter the Russian Civil War earlier due to the greater successes of Germany. Once the war ends, the following changes are made: Germany enforces OTL treaty of Brest-Litovsk on Russia, AH makes Serbia and Albania puppet States, Ottomans regain control of Libya, take Cyprus, and take control of modern-day Armenia and Azerbaijan, Germany turns Belgium into a puppet state and takes all of France’s colonies away (Indochina, West Africa, Algeria, etc.), Britain returns occupied Colonies to Germany. Japan does not give colonies back to Germany, but Germany gets Indochina from France so this isn’t a big deal for Germany. The US annexes the CSA and Canada. Long-term effects: TL-191 is complete fiction, Britain and France will not turn Fascist, period. France doesn’t have the population for large-scale war like Germany did, the kind of defeat Britain gets is highly unlikely to invoke fascism’s rise. The US has to deal with much bigger racism problems than in OTL, as the CSA survived for a whole fifty years. Germany becomes the world’s second biggest colonial power after Britain, Britain eventually will have to start getting friendly with both Germany and the USA, as being unwilling to trade with each other would be highly damaging to all economies. Germany, USA, and Britain become he world’s superpowers. The Russian Civil War ends in a white victory due to heavy German support of the White army. Russia would likely become a German ally following the white victory leading to an alliance which completely dominates world affairs between Russia, Germany, and the USA. The Great Depression still occurs in 1929, though I don’t think it will be as severe as in OTL? This is something I’m not too sure about. However, the depression would likely be bad enough for Japan’s government to start to radicalize as in OTL. There would be no Second World War, but Japan would still likely wage conquests. There would likely be a “Great Pacific War”, with Russia, the US, Germany, Britain, and many other countries all waging war against Japan. Japan of course loses, though it likely does not get nuked, as the nuke likely doesn’t get developed very early ITTL. Japan is invaded and likely turned into a Colony be either Russia, Britain, or Germany to end the war. All of Japan’s holdings in East Asia would be taken be the great powers of the world. However, there are still some questions I have: 1. Does decolonization still happen? Or, do the Great Powers of the world gradually start giving more rights to their colonies, eventually granting equal rights to all of their subjects? 2. How different does the United States look, and how much more problematic is it with racism? 3. Does technology still become as advanced as it does today? 4. How does the average day look like for a person living in this world?

(Note: this scenario is practically identical to the Central Powers victory scenario, but there’s a major difference in that America is changed greatly and actively supports Germany in the Great War.)
