What if the Cold war never ended?

Let's assume that USSR somehow magically stabilizing and reforming yourself.
As result-Surviving throughout nineties to TTL 2018.
How the world will look like?
UPD: Tip - Berlin wall never fell.

Overthrow Gorbachev and stagnate the development of the Internet. That way, you get a recognizable USSR.

After that, the Soviets might actually get involved with the War on Terror if they get hit with some attacks.

It’s important to remember that the Soviet Union was the “Great Satan” for people like Bin Laden, if Al Qaeda and affiliated groups go down a similar path to OTL then they’re almost certainly going to be the number one target.

For them, no. USA was Great Satan and USSR was Little Satan

I don't see why you need the development of the internet to get a recognizable USSR. Really just avoiding Gorbachev will do it.

Whatever struggles they may have (and they do) the regime is in no way near collapse because of it. The same would be true for the USSR.
You would be surprised. The Arab Spring was coordinated primarily via the Internet, and brought down a number of governments throughout the Middle East. Who's to say a similar "spring" wouldn't eventually occur in, say, Central Asia? The Baltics?
