What if the Baltic Fleet had mutinied in 1905?

Apparently there were plans afoot in the fleet for a mutiny, but first the fleet sailing to Japan distracted the sailors, then the weather was so hot at one point that the mutineers were litraly too tired to mutiny, and then the actions of Admiral Rhosthestvensky and the battle of Tsushima stopped it. What if they had decided to mutiny and turn the fleet's guns on St Petersburg?

See what happened to the Potemkin for an idea of what would happen.

After some desultory mayhem, the fleet sails to Germany after none of the ships ordered to attack it do so?

However, the OP requires the whole fleet to rise up. That's a lot more than just one battleship.

I foresee things getting ugly.

And shouldn't this be in post-1900?

The fleet sails around until running out of food. If it tries making port in Russia, everyone dies. If it tries making port in Sweden or Germany, Russia demands extradition of the fleet.

Except for the small fact that they can bombard the Tsar's palace if they want. Really, with the whole fleet, this going to be the start of a revolution, even if its just a failed one.

If they've got ammo for their guns, they can make any port accept them on pain of being razed.

And then while in port the German/Swedish navy comes later and forces them to surrender? That doesnt sound like a very good plan.

I was referring to Russian ports.

And how big was the Swedish Navy at this point? The German fleet could probably pull that off, but I am not aware of Sweden being a mighty naval power at this point.

Lets just say like this: We had a fleet worth mentioning in 1905?
