What if Tesla's work isn't destroyed?

As most of us geeks know, much of Tesla's work was destroyed in a mysterious fire. Simply put, what if it hadn't happened?

Thanks to his matter-duplication machine we get a never-ending supply of top hats and dead magicians ?

We're all doomed!!! (seriously though, I loved playing C&C, stopped after Tiberian Sun and RA2)

Anyway, if all or some of his work survived, the U.S. military was crazy enough to see him demonstrate his death ray superweapon. Maybe they come up with an 'improved' version of it? Whether or not it kills the atomic bomb and nuclear research in general is debatable, but if the U.S. military does succeed in building a death ray (and that's a big IF), its probably not going to be used save for homeland defense.

Also, his earthquake-making machine would wreak havoc in the West Coast, Japan (assuming we kill butterflies and have WWII as OTL), and any other unstable tectonic regions.

The Tl is almost exactly the same as OTL because Tesla didn't have the magic some people in OTL think he had.

One important change would be that you would know that Tesla's later claims were BS and would not have started this thread.

The fire was in 1895, Tesla continued working up until the 1930s, I doubt most of the stuff he lost would have proved critical.
