I was thinking yesterday, and I was trying to come up with an alternate history. Then, it hit me! What if the Nazis had won the battle of Stalingrad? If this had happened the Nazis probably have taken out the Soviet Union. If this had happened, then the Nazis might have been able to send more troops to their western front (although to occupy Russia would have taken a ton of troops, or would the just occupy the main cities like Moscow, etc.?). If this had happened the Nazis might have been able to conquer the rest of Europe and most of North Africa. With this done, they could have launched an invasion of Britan. Then, the could have possibly won the Battle of Britan. The USA, now, that is a different story. With the Nazis in control of Europe, they could have started on the easier to get to Asia. America would have been unable to launch effective attacks on the Nazis due to America's lack of bases in Britan or Europe. Fighting between the Americans and Nazis would effectively stop. However, if the Nazis used the island hopping method (Iceland-Greenland-Canada) then they could possibly invade the USA, but the US would get plenty of warning and be able to defend itself. With America fighting on the Homefront the American troops in the Pacific would be pulled back, leaving only a skeleton force. The Empire of Japan might then procede to conquer and occupy the rest of China and the Pacific. They might have stopped at Midway OR they might have continued on to Hawii and then the West Coast of the US. If the latter happened, then all American troops in other parts of the world would be pulled back to the Homefront. With America fighting at home WW2 might have taken longer and ended with a Nazi victory in Europe and Canada, a japanese occupation of the Pacific and much of Asia, and a much weaker America.
