In 1894 the votes that would lead to NYC containing the 5 boroughs also had voting take place in Yonkers, Mt Vernon and Pelham, however in these 3 cities the vote wasn't in favor (exept Pelham which only part of was absorbed) and thus today they are part of what is now Southern Westchester. What if they had voted in favor? would the subway system have been extended farther north? How would this effect NYC as a whole
