So I was reading about how the current Prince Charles is the second-oldest heir to the British throne ever. The first was Sophia of Hanover, cousin of King William III. Sophia was 83 when she died, and died just a couple of months before Queen Anne. Apparently she was in good health (especially for being 83 years old) up until the month that she died, and could have easily succeeded Anne.
So what if she does? What if she rules for a few years (3-5)? Does this change anything important, or does it just hit the record for oldest succession to a throne?
