What if Rhoda has been cancelled after its first season?

Rhoda is an American television sitcom starred Valerie Harper and ran from 1974 to 1978 on CBS. It was a spin-off of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

In early 1975, John Mantley however had possible discussions to do a 21st season of Gunsmoke.

Meanwhile, in the mid of 1975, CBS cancelled Rhoda, due to Valerie Harper not paying the extra response to do a second season despite high ratings and critical acclaim and a few Emmy nonimations after just a single season (Yep, that's worse than Bridget Loves Bernie's cancellation, despite of high ratings in its glory). MTM however paid the extra response to put Rhoda's episodes into Viacom's Mary Tyler Moore Show syndication package, which was set to start in 1977.

CBS however tried to move Gunsmoke out of the family hour due to its violent content, but it didn't work and remains on the Mondays 8pm-9pm time period for its 21st year. In its 1975-76 season, Gunsmoke will be followed by All in the Family, Maude and Medical Center. However Valerie Harper will go on to do movies and guest stars instead of renewing Rhoda.

Fully ITTL, IOTL Gunsmoke has been cancelled after 20 seasons and Rhoda renewed for a 2nd season and Victory Television has its own Rhoda syndication package instead of putting Rhoda's episodes into the Mary Tyler Moore Show syndication package..
