What If:President McCain wins in 2012?.

POD:Barack Obama dies in an accident before entering politics,John Edwards Wins Democratic Nomination, but one scandal arises before the election and that makes John McCain be elected US President. In 2012 , McCain is Re- elected thanks to the Electoral College .

How would the two mandates of President McCain ?,how I would deal with the ISIS if the terrorist organization arise ?,what their internal policies ?,and what would be the scenario in the 2016 election that ATL ?.

Given the massive elephant in the room regarding John Edwards, how does he manage to win the 2008 Democratic nomination?

Butterflies resulting POD do not want Hillary run in 2008 and the Edwards scandal is hidden , so it seems like a good candidate, that until Republicans find.

How would the Presidency of McCain then ?.

For that to happen. you would need another nominee like Edwards in 2012 or you would need McCain to do exceptionally well, which I doubt the McCain of 2008 would. Otherwise, I doubt he'd win. McCain winning would mark 12 years of GOP rule and 12 miserable years at that. If McCain did somehow win in 2008, he'd have no mandate, I doubt he would either if by SOME miracle he did win in 2012 TTL.

If by some miracle he wins in 2012, 2014 will be much like it was for Obama; a blowout for the opposite party. I imagine that the democrats weren't diminished in 2008 or 2010, with marginal losses in 2012 that would be recovered and improved upon in 2014. McCain's domestic agenda would be dead in the water and the GOP would not have a hope in hell after 16 years. with the dems in control of the gerrymandering in 2010 they wouldn't likely lose the house at any point in the decade

Likely 2016 candidates will include some also-rans from 2012; Hillary would've be the 2012 frontrunner and somehow lost to McCain so she's out. A re-elected Russ Feingold would be a natural contender, so would Deval Patrick, Kathleen Sibelius, and a host of other governors; hell Jerry Brown could try again. It might be like the GOP primaries now; the party is so confident of victory that everyone jumps in to get a chance at being the nominee.
