I wonder- if area of Aragon Crown remains independent till today, would the name still be Aragon ( considering that about 80% of population would be speaking Catalan language )?
Why wouldn't it be?I wonder- if area of Aragon Crown remains independent till today, would the name still be Aragon ( considering that about 80% of population would be speaking Catalan language )?
Why wouldn't it be?
Afterall how many people in the Kingdom of France spoke a form of Frankish/Franconian?
I expect the dominant Catalan dialect just gets renamed Aragan or something.
Why not. Diets and Deutsch have the same root name but are different languages. But, what with real Aragonese language?

Of course I'm not saying that it would be renamed it just seems that the dominant language would tend to get named after the kingdom if the reverse is unlikely.OK. Interesting.
