What if phone numbers had always been written like this?

In Singapore we have no area codes :D

All numbers are 8 digits long with the first digit being 6 if it's a land line and 8 or 9 if it's a mobile line.
 
Very few phones in Singapore then :D

A few million (IIRC we've got more mobile phone lines than we do people). It's just that there's no point having area codes for a single city.

We write them down either as a single block, using a single space or a single dash- older people tend to use the dash more and younger people just tend to write it down in a block.

So 6123 4567, 6123-4567 or 61234567

I know. I was joking. Depending on how the numbers of the phone number are organized, one can have enough phone numbers.
