What if Palestine Wasn't Partitioned?

The POD must include the following:

-Britain did put the matter up to the UN

-The King David Hotel, and all other OTL attacks, occurred

Btw: I am going to update Forward, One and All as soon as I can.

You may still have a large influx of Jewish families either way because Zionism was growing strong and both Britain and various other groups were encouraging their return. So I could see a few things happening but the end will still be a conflict between the two groups. Figures like the Grand Mufti would still be encouraging attacks on them and such. So there would still be an armed conflict but it depends on Britain's reaction because the territory is under their control. It may deter more Jewish families from going or encourage some to go and fight for the homeland.

A secular democracy composed of about half Arabs/Muslims and half Jews arises in the region as the West's main ally, while the East tends to support 'anti-imperialist' Arab states.

People will complain that Jewish citizens have too much economic power, other people will complain that Arab growth rates are too high, but I think the whole thing would stick together, being propped up by the West.

And if half-Arab, half-Jew doesn't sound unstable enough, why not stick Lebanon into the mix? This state will control Jerusalem, so maybe it should have Christian, Muslim, and Jewish citizens, who have an equal say in access to the sites and sights of the city.

ITYM "The TL must include..." or "The PoD may not alter..."

What do you mean by "wasn't partiitioned"?

OTL - the UN voted a partition plan which allowed Zionists to proclaim the state of Israel, but the plan was never implemented. Instead there was a war in which the Zionist forces held all the territory allocated to the Jewish state and captured part of the Arab-allocated territory, resulting in a de facto partition.

So - either the UN never votes for a partition plan...

Or the war ends with one side or the other controlling all Palestine.

Which is what you want? The UN rejecting partition seems unlikely - the vote was 33-13, with 11 not voting. Yes votes included the US, 13 Latin American states, 6 Western European states, and 5 Soviet controlled states. The No votes were nearly all Moslem countries, plus Greece and Cuba. I don't see how to flip enough votes to change the outcome.
