We have seen some excellent scenarios on a Franco-American war in the late 1790s, but have there been any good timelines or scenarios where the French (for instance Citizen Genet) succeed in provoking Anglo-American war, or Americans deliberately go to war with Britain or any other enemies of France (like Spain at times)?
What would be the necessary and/or sufficient conditions for this to occur.
Would simply a failure to negotiate the Jay Treaty suffice to make Anglo-American war probable?
Or could this only happen in a system where there has been no constitution creating a stronger central government and chief executive?
At a minimum, is Anglo-American war in the 1790s even plausible if George Washington is there serving as President?
