I'm Romanian and Romanian historians agree that the coup shortened the war by as much as six months. Afterwards Romanian army fought alongside the Soviets and eased their war especially in Hungary, Austria and Czechoslovakia.
I'm a bit skeptical about these assertions (especially prolonging the war with 6 months), but perhaps given Romanian geography (Especially the Carpathians) what if there was no coup - how much longer could the war drag on; and how much more the Western Allies could advance into Germany - could we see a different post-war Europe, maybe even use of nukes in Germany first, maybe Czechoslovakia would be in the Western block postwar.
