What If: New Phoenician Territory

What if the Phoenician city of Tyre had chosen to colonize and expand onto Asia-Minor in the area shown during their time of colonial expansion instead of colonizing into North Africa and founding Carthage?

How would the resulting expansion had changed European history? More importantly; how would Phoenician culture and warfare in the region effected European and West-Asian history?

Although they are a naval superpower, I doubt they can even expel the Hittites who were one of the superpowers of the time. They would need egypts back just to make a dent on the Hittites.

I dunno if the myceneans would allow the Phoenicians to settle in their lands you just encircled.

That area was already well settled with small city states on the coasts and large states in the interior, so it would be a much, much more difficult task then settling the virgin lands of Africa and Spain

At the golden age of Phoenician colonization, ie. when Carthage and Gadir were founded, the Hittite Empire had been in ruin for centuries. As had Mycenaean culture.

This. The fact is at this time, Greeks had already had their sights on Anatolia for quite a while. The Hittites record Greek warlords raiding and claiming cities along the coast like Melitus, Ephesus, and Smyrna. The Trojan War can also be seen as a testament to Bronze Age Greek interests in the area. So the idea that the Phoenicians, who are further away and less populous can waltz in and colonize the area seems a bit farfetched to me. Cilicia, maybe. The Phoenicians did have a colony on Cyprus that was eventually taken by the Greeks.
