I had read that the people of Mindanao were very much against the Spanish and most of the Coastal tribes and Lowland/Plains tribes warred against the Spanish instead of converting and for that reason the people of Mindanao weren't conquered and instead on the lands conquered the Mindanaoans fled and were replaced by the Spanish by Visayans, what if the Spanish weren't been able to entice most of people in Luzon to convert because they are either strongly pagan or strongly muslim just like Mindanao(In OTL the people of Luzon were hostile but there were people who were easily persuaded by the Spanish to side with them) and expel the Spanish in most of Luzon perhaps with an exception of some small bits of it like what happened to mindanao, this would also mean that Tondo would evolve into a Maguindanao Sultanate analog in Luzon.
How would having two hostile lands effect the Spanish colonization of the Philippines.
