What if Lucius Quietus succeeded Trajan in 117 A.D. ?

What if Lucius Quietus had become Emperor instead of Hadrian. Lets say Trajan had decided before he died, I personally am of the opinion Trajan didn't want Hadrian to become Emperor.

Would the continued occupation of Mesopotamia cause harm or would it be a good investment in the short term at least? Would he Handle Britain similar to Trajan or would he try to conquer Caledonia and maybe even Hibernia?

Yes but there wasn't enough conversation about this particular question, more of the effects and whatnot
Quietus faces exactly the same issues Hadrian faced or any other emperor in alternate histories we discussed here. Mesopotamia is easy to raid, but tricky to hold. Especially with a serious jewish revolt in your back. Revolts all over northern Mesopotamia. And a parthian army standing in your brand new province Armenia.

True but I always thought Lucius might be able to handle the Jews better than Hadrian or a Roman would as him being of Berber origin would mean he could understand the concept that the typical treatment the Romans had been doing to the Jews wasn't working and that they should per sue a method that Cyrus the great used with them. Or at least something similar.

By the time Trajan died, the revolts had been dealt with to a considerable degree. I read somewhere that the Roman generals considered Hadrian's withdrawal order "unwise and cowardly." Holding that much of the East would've been costly in military and economic terms but it might've preempted later trouble from Parthia and the Sassanids.

The jews were handled by Quietus, their revolts in palestine, Egypt, Cyrenaica, Cyprus and mesopotamia crushed.
