What if Ladilaus of Naples had lived longer?

He had already conquered much of central Italy and planned much more.

But conquering small city states and duchies is alot easier then taking on the France, Holy Roman Empire or Hungaria as we see when he tries to invade the latter.
If he can unite the Central Italian states into a funtioning kingdom and have a son in Rome, he would be in a better situation rather then trying to rush around trying to re-build the Roman Empire in a day.

I could be wrong, but wasn't there a plan to marry him to Valentina Visconti at one point? Could be amusing if the Visconti still go extinct as OTL, cause suddenly you have a near-united Italy a couple centuries ahead of schedule.

I think the corollary was that the duc d'Orléans would marry Catherine of Hungary, but I can't be sure.
