What if Japan went to the Americas with some samurias

so what if when Spain found America (notice how I say found, not discovered) the Japanese sent over a colony to try to make all of America theirs and they would also get the natives to join them and they would make them into samurias then (note they would do this peacefully) once they have about half of North America on their side I think that they could conquer the other colonies then they would own pretty own all of North America then there would be a United States and then in the future in ww2 Germany and Japan could win the war ( i don't know why I included that last part onto this ) so anyway back to where I was once Japan takes over North America through absorbing the naboring tribes and some wars with the colonies then I think they would eventually go to war with Mexico or attack it when it was still a colony and they might try to take over South America when their population gets big enough

I just noticed that I forgot that Japan wasn't untied until some time later now let me fix that with reason on why they would unite
Ok the first thing that would happen is that the Japan shoguns hear that Spain found America then
The most powerful one would want some of this land so he would wage war with the other shoguns until he becomes the supreme ruler of everything then he would send over his men to claim this land and finally he would do the stuff above

Gonna come out and say it now, no WWII with such massive butterflies.

You have an incentive problem. Why would the Japanese want to do that in the first place?

Pretty sure this guy is a troll. Granted it's funny rather then offensive, but he's clearly taking the mickey.

a Japanese colonization attempt requires a few things (like the right ships), but if you follow the route Kuriles/Kamchatka/Aleutians you get to Alaska

Why you ask? To get furs, such as sea otter,which later on would be traded to the Chinese for massive profits (they are really fine furs). Follow the Alaskan current down the coast and eventually you get to California, and there are furs all the way to Baja (well there used to be before they got hunted out). California and Oregon have in their interior wonderful places for agriculture which would feed any colonies developed in Alaska for example.

A trip home, with the appropriate ship, could be made using North Equatorial Current and the Westerlies blowing from North America will take you to Hawaii (as a way station), and from there you can follow those same winds and currents to eventually Guam, Okinawa and that gets you to Kyushu

but the trick is to have the right ships

um what just happened to the last post about me oh and I might as well answer your post anyway (even though it just disappeared it's just the auto correct on my I-pad but I switched over to my pc so hopefully that will help (note my I-pad's auto correct is horrible)

Japan did come to america with some samurai...as a route to visit the spanish kings and the pope in the vatican, maybe tokugawa become more hostile to christiann early and now not able going back home, Tsunenaga and his travelers stay in the americas?

This is clearly a troll. Please dont feed it. This user started a thread asking what if a ship washed ashore and a native american built one just like it and all the tribes of the Pacific coast got together and built more and sent 10,000 warriors to Africa. Tell me I have a lack of good faith and to shut up for being rude, but that thread and this one show a either trolling or a complete lack of maturity.

This thread reminds me of an idea I've wanted for my TL, involving an idea where in the XVIII the Spanish and Dutch go to war, and end up dragging Japan and China into some skirmishes, but with the end result of Spain displacing the Dutch as Japan's sole European trading partner. A few decades later, a group of Japanese Kirishitan rebel, resulting in the Spanish cleverly taking advantage of the situation to take these Japanese Christians off Japan and into a place where they could practise their faith in peace: the coasts of California.

The thing is, your ideas tend to be quite unrealistic and involve jump of logics.
This forum has a tendency to ask a lot of details and intellectual rigours, which your posts have lacked.

Not saying that to be an ass, just how you'll get better answers

1. We have standards on this forum. If you want to post frivolities there's a thread for that but otherwise ATLs are expected to have some level of plausibility to them.

2. We also have standards of behavior on this forum, which means it's not okay to tell people to shut up for criticizing you.

You join a community you like, at least on the internet where we have something approaching choice. You do not get to 'fix' a community, nor individuals.

With that caution welcome.

Now as to what you know, the more you knew the more you would realise you do not know.

Take the Butterfly Effect which was mentioned to you. Essentially what would happen if the Japanese went to Alaska is that you would have an event that would for all time influence at least some events away from history as we know it. If the Japanese then as Galveston Bay suggested suddenly started to trade for furs with or in competition against the natives this would have history changing ramifications on them and the Inuit. If they sold those furs to the Chinese this would start to alter things in China as some Chinese merchants would grow rich, some officials might exploit or even murder those merchants or be replaced in positions of influence by them and so on and so forth. This before maybe the Spanish encounter the Japanese on the West Coast of North America which again will start having an impact on future history, even if it is just a note in a history book the fact that the note in all subsequent history books will be different will have small but cumulative impact on future outcomes.

Thus the effects of one action as long as it has some effect on history as recorded by humans will have ever growing effects.

The only thing we can be sure of is that after five hundred years even if a lot of the trends are set in stone the history of the world would look different from this time line.

Which is why most folks would prefer you to try and keep speculation close to nearly manageable lengths of time.
