First post on here, just a little scenario I came up with earlier on, and thought I'd post it here - obviously not polished historically, or very realistic, but certainly an interesting diversion.
I've always been interested by Edward Heath, and I thought I'd see what could've happened had, rather than becoming the incredible sulk, he'd have accepted Thatcher's offer of a cabinet position of his choice. As you can see by the timeline below, the results of a few elections have changed, along with Prime Ministers - but I think the most interesting diversion is at the end.
My intention was to see that, by a small change like Heath accepting Thatcher's offer, whether the two parties could change entirely - must like how Republicans and Democrats are very different parties now then they were in the 1860s.
So - thoughts?
