What if: Earlier Qing Collapse?

What if the Qing Dynasty had collapse before it did in the 20th century? Im talking like mid 19th century or earlier.

For bonus points, have the Qing dynasty balkanize, and map out how the Europeans divide China and what stays independent of them - i am thinking Tibet or Mongolia will stay independent of the European powers.

Mongolia was heavily influenced by the Russians (they use Cyrillic), Tibet existed at the whims of the British Empire not caring enough to stop the Chinese from conquering them, we see how that turned out. So I don't see those surviving.

Any balkanization of China tends to resolve itself in time, Europeans mucking around wouldn't change that, eventually the various Chinas would coalesce as they'd done for thousands of years prior. Do prepare for it to be bloody, both the fall of the Qing and All The Many Chinas.

If we are talking of post Taiping you probably get the warlord era 50 years earlier, spearheaded by guys like Zeng Guofan and Li Hongzhang.

I don't know enough to say for certain, but couldn't they fall when they were just wresting power from the Ming? IIRC there were many rebellions.

Information regarding Sun Yat-Sen's rebellion in Guangzhou isn't leaked and he successfully overthrows the Qing dynasty in 1895.
