What if Donald Trump buys the Bills in 2014?

In 2014, Trump almost bought the Bills. He apparently was going to offer 1 Billion dollars (who knows if this is true or if he even has it) but was outbid by Terry Pegula. Lets say though that Trump is the only bidder and gets the Bills. How does this affect his and America's future if at all?

As far as football goes, I see things interestingly enough going like OTL, even though he probably would be all talk and the team would still be mediocre.

In terms of politics, maybe being an NFL owner makes him feel he's arrived. I don't know if he'd sell. He might still want to run but for the sake of this timeline let's say no. Who goes against HRC in 2016? I'd say Cruz gets Trump's momentum and he's our president.

Any other ideas?

. . . I'd say Cruz gets Trump's momentum . . .
But Trump also caught a wave of anti-establishment anger.

And even more specifically, anger toward illegal immigrants from Mexico. Which I think is scapegoating due to stagnant wages and slow recovery, other people might have different views.

Without the specifics of Trump, all this probably plays out somewhat differently.

I think Cruz could capture that anger. I can't see any other Republican doing it. Rubio's not powerful enough and everyone else is just kind of milquetoast. Maybe Rand Paul could get it but he's just too odd for the base.

Everyone is saying that @TomBrady is over the hill. Needs to stop embarrassing himself and retire!

Cheating Bill Belichick wins because he cheats. When will Commish Goodell actually do anything. Sad!

Whining John Harbough didn't know what to do when NE lined up in an illegal formation. Rex will solve issue

People say 9/11 Truther Pete Carroll just got lucky in '13. NFL needs to get rid of whacky Pete

Low energy Packers offense and @AaronRodgers completely lost it. I would have told him to ditch Olivia. No good.

NE down 24-3. Cheating Bill not so good in the Super Bowl when everyone watching. Loser!

Also the Bills win 9 games over 4 seasons during all of this.

I think Cruz . . .
And the interesting thing, both Obama and Cruz are basically the same candidate! They play off the warrior hero myth. The JFK myth of Camelot. If JFK had been twenty years older, had been 62 instead of 42, and had said the exact same things, it wouldn't have been viewed as having near the same amount of inspiration.

And it helps that both Obama and Cruz are viewed as people of ideas. and the content of the ideas hardly matter.

Big pomp and circumstance, "gonna be the biggest, best team in the world", "I love Buffalo...I love Buffalo!", until they go belly up in bankruptcy and failure, get sold off to Cleveland or Toronto, and Trump tells Buffalo they were all losers all along.
