What if David Stewart, Duke of Rothesay lived

David Stewart was the eldest born son of King Robert III of Scotland, born in 1378, in the original timeline he died in 1402.

As the first Duke of Rothesay and heir to the throne as well as being Earl of Atholl and Earl of Carrick, he was quite a powerful man.

If he had not been captured by men loyal to his uncle Albany, what would have been the consequences?

Is it possible that some sort of civil war erupts between him and his uncle? Or that he makes a political power play and arrests his uncle?

If he had lived, would it be plausible that in an attempt to finally rid himself of his uncle, he declares his uncle a traitor and thus begins the war of the Stewarts?
