What if Curly Howard had kept his health?

Suppose Columbia Pictures president Harry Cohn had let the Stooges take time off so Curly could address his health problems? Chances are he could have stayed with the team all through the '50's and 60's.

WP says that Shemp had a good solo career when Curly left and only returned because he saw that Moe and Larry would be out of business if he didn't rejoin them.

Curly was only about 49 when he died in 1952, so it doesn't seem too ASB that a healthier Curly might've lived as much as another thirty years. Though to achieve that, we'd probably need a much earlier POD, one where he started taking better care of himself much earlier in life. I also seem to recall reading of an incident where he accidentally shot himself in a gun accident when he was young, with the injury causing him pain the rest of his life. Butterfly that away, and he might have been generally healthier the rest of his life.
