What if Charles I won the English Civil War/War of the Three Kingdoms?

When does he do this? Because that will significantly affect things.

If Charles strikes at London quickly, removing the Parliamentarians, the result would be different to if he won after a prolonged civil war.

How So? What would be the difference? The latter would keep England a absolute monarchy for years wouldn't it, while the first might see a parliament make a come back more quickly?

Context is everything, a negotiated peace after the second phase would include some sort of parliamentary role and would be very different from a crushing victory after a year or two in the first (absolute monarchy) or a swift strike in 1642 (status quo of the personal rule).
