What if Canada owned all the north-eastern US states?

What if the US-Canada border was at Pennsylvania/Maryland and every state above it was Canadian land since the American revolution

Uh how is it that some of the most pro loyalist territory leaves and some of the most pro Revolution territory stays?

Chances are there would be a major New England revolt every few decades or so, possibly making common cause with Quebec

As for me, my family ends up in the upper south, my ancestors left Canada for a reason, not that I can recall what it is

Unless its a northern alliance and the southern confederacy. That could work. Say that the invasion of canada was done better and then it's slave vs non-slave.

What? Canada was created directly because of the Revolution. Without the revolution there is no Canada as we know it. Unless your talking about the Province of Canada, but that would require extensive French colonization before being taken by the English. But seriously there is no way that the Dominion of Canada gets the Northeastern states.

Indeed. If there were a larger British presence on the American continent after the Revolution, then it would have been named something different, like Albion or just America (called Northern to distinguish from the Rebels)

Canada =/= New Brunswick

There was a frequently mooted idea of New England seceding and aligning themselves with the Empire. Could end up with the unification of BNA including New England, although it probably wouldn't be called Canada.

Except that it does, because without the Revolution there would be influx of settlers from the 13 colonies to the rest of British North America. Without the US, there is no Dominion of Canada. Because there is no reason for it. And if the Northeast, the center of the Revolution, is Loyalist, there is no reason for the rebellion to happen, unless the South breaks of when the Brits try to get rid of slavery.

Hmm... Suppose one of the early wars in DoD (I can't remember what its name was) went the other way, and Pennsylvania successfully joined New England, which was allied with Britain? That would almost meet the OP.

The most you could 'tack onto' Canada and still reasonably have a Canada would be New England (perhaps with a really nasty 1812 POD, or a still-born USA). Still that'd change history so fundamentally it's hard to see how you'd end up with a single 'Canada', and how it would in any way resemble OTL Canada (OTL New England has nearly half the population of OTL Canada).
