What if C.S.Lewis had lived into his 90's

Gone Fishin'
What do you think his literary output would have been? What direction would his writings have gone in and how would the many changes in society have affected his thoughts and works?

I think later in life, he was getting more and more aligned with Catholicism. Someone somewhere theorized if he lived 10 years longer, he would have formally converted.

Would have pleased Tolkien at least.

I do believe he was planning to rewrite some aspects of the Narnia series so maybe we'll see some more of that. A continuation of sorts.

I would agree that his converting to Catholicism would be probable (but not near certain). He would like the fact that Vatican II made less Roman Antiprotestantism and more akin to his idea of "simply Christian".

Just wondering but what would Lewis think of the Beatles or the Rolling Stones?

He might think they were too lowbrow for his taste. He was an Oxford don in the 1950s and early 1960s, after all.

There's also a Beatles (I think) song where they say "My sweet Lord" over and over again and you think it's a Christian song until they start repeating "Hare Krishna" and speaking in some Indian-sounding language.

IIRC Thats actually a George Harrison solo song.
