What if Bush Assasinated

So, its a movie, the only way someone could get that close to Bush is if it was an inside job.

If getting a blowjob in the Oval Office is worthy of impeachment, then why hasn't Dumbya been pulled before the Congress on impeachment charges?

Dude, he was not impeached for getting a blowjob. He was impeached for lying under oath. If he had admitted it, he would have suffered politically, but there would be no talk of impeachment.

It was a pretty weak reason to impeach him. If the same situation was still in effect, Dumbya would have been impeached for the Signing Statements or the Warrantless Wiretaps. By the way, most polticians lie, under oath or not.

Most politicians aren't caught redhanded. Neither the Supreme Court nor Congress have established a clear position on the Signing statements, and the legality of warrantless wiretaps remain in question until the Supreme Court makes a decision. But, you're right, the impeachment was excessive and unnecessary, though Clinton should have stepped down of his own accord to preserve the honor of the office.

I don't think Clinton should have stepped down... lying under oath is a major offense usually, but the thing he lied about is a very minor offense in the modern world (and why did he have to testify about it anyway?).

Congress made him testify because it was politically convenient and embarassing to Clinton. And really, I doubt he would have been impeached if he'd just admitted that he'd lied about the fact that he was like many bosses and diddled the secretary in his office. Instead, he tried to weasel out of the admission and that's what got him in trouble. Really, he dug his own grave and just barely missed being buried in it.

This is getting ridiculous, and turning into a rehash of history. I'll say what I said a few posts ago, the only way, as I see it, for anyone to assissinate Bush would have to come from and inside job. Anyone know how they do it in the movie?

The movie is fiction. Every week there are shows about child rape and murder which are also fiction.

I have to say that the prospect of Cheney winning in 08 is enough to make me hope more strongly than usual that nobody together enough to have a chance of success will seek to murder the current US Presdient,

Of course he should be impeached for launching an aggressive war. This is contrary to treaties the US have signed and had ratified. Such treaties are a part of US Law. (However it would be tricky to impeach a majority of the Congress elected in 2000)

By the way this was part of the argument for Nuremburg not being ex post facto law- Germany which had a similar constitutional provision had signed the Locarno treaty banning aggressive war.
