What if Bermuda were still carfree and maybe still had a railway?

What about railcars like what Bermuda had but with such baggage areas? How do you get the baggage to and from stations?
If Bermuda was car free then I'd be less terrified by the taxi rides to and from the airport every year. *Thinks about it* It would be a bugger to cycle there with my suitcase though.
In fact, the original reason for banning motorcars on these islands was tourism and Bermudians thought motor traffic might drive tourists away.

What about streetcars or interurban (more or less), with a small baggage area?
Looking at their rolling stock, I would consider it a gasoline and diesel-powered Interurban or Light-Railway for our UK friends. Not a single locomotive on their roster, just box motors that could pull a few cars.

Looking through the Bermuda railway pages, there is no mention of signalling and given their use of bus-sized railcars, this makes me wonder if they were just driven on sight. One question that remains is why the bend in the railway near Hamilton?

Why not a straighter section of line there and a branch to Hamilton?

Anyway, more information on the history of the Bermuda Railway.
