What if Battle of Karánsebes never happened?

What if the Battle of Karánsebes, where Austrians got drunk and started fighting each other never happened during the Austro-Turkish War (1788–1791)? How would that change the outcome?

We lose out on the very amusing story of 10,000 Austrians being killed over drunken stupidity. Maybe some soldier over the years (the current story about the Battle of Karansebes dates to 1847) who TTL had taken in the lessons of Karansebes instead makes a bad call and this leads to some soldiers being killed in a friendly fire incident who otherwise would've lived, maybe killing a future famous writer, general, etc.

Was this even real? I remember there being quite a discussion about it.

There was a friendly-fire incident in 1788 at Karansebes, which killed about 150 Austrian soldiers. Everything else is embellished or outright made-up.
