What if Augusto Pinochet was assassinated in 1986

On September 7, 1986, members of the Chilean urban guerilla organization known as the Manuel Rodríguez Patriotic Front ambushed a motorcade carrying Augusto Pinochet, the country's dictator at the time. Five soldiers were killed and eleven were wounded in the ambush, but while the guerillas initially thought they had killed Pinochet, he was unhurt. As it turns out, a rocket-propelled grenade hit his car, but failed to explode.

What if the grenade exploded and Pinochet died?
