What if Anti-Treaty IRA forces had won the Irish Civil War?

I know that it's not a well known area of history but having come from a family that fleed the Civil War, I am greatly intersted in it.
Whilst it is very hard to imagine a way in which they could win the war, what if the IRA had a much larger force during the War of Independence and as a result IRA numbers swelled to about double, or even triple the OTL figures. Then an IRA victory is probable during the Civil War.
That is to say that the British don't get involved.

The problem lies in what the attitude would be towards Northern Ireland as it is it would bring about the return of the British Army as a victory for the Anti-Treaty forces would if they revoked the treaty. The civil war might be extended with intervention by the loyalists However if the border was temporarily accepted the bigger sticking point for the anti-treaty forces would be the oath of allegience which Britain would be unlikely to concede without a protracted war. If the anti-treaty forces weren't defeated by Britain they would have to reach some king of agreement eventually with Britain although I'm not sure what Britain would have conceded apart from the oath of allegience and maybe the Treat Ports

There would be problems for politicians such as De Valera who whilst boycotting the Dail wasn't engageing in armed resistance to the Free State.
